Terms and Conditions for Tuxedo Rentals – King Tux Rentals
The following terms and conditions apply to all tuxedo rentals from King Tux Rentals.
The customer understands that all rentals are for the period of time designated. Rental periods are typically two days before the event until the day after the event. A late fee of $30 per day, per rental, must be imposed for customers who are delinquent in making a timely return of any rented merchandise.
A partial payment of at least half of your rental total is required to place an order. In the event that you cancel an order, $30.00 is not refundable. Full payment is required the week before the item is to be picked up. If you have already paid in full and are unable to attend your event, all but $30.00 will be refunded as long as your order is canceled one week or more before the pick-up date. No refunds will be issued on orders canceled within a week of the pick-up date.
Tuxedo orders must be tried on the day of pick up. Rentals that are not acceptable must be brought back to King Tux Rentals for alterations/replacement. Orders not tried on will be considered acceptable for the event.
Late return fees of 30.00 per day will apply for rentals that are 1 – 6 days late (Rentals coming back to us after closing time on the due date are one day late). After 6 days late, the garment will be deemed “appropriated” or lost and the customer will be charged a replacement cost of $574.00 plus tax. This fee is in addition to the rental cost.
Rental merchandise should be returned in the same condition that it was in when the merchandise was picked up. The customer does not need to clean the garments, but he is expected to return them on the same hangers and inventory them to make sure that everything is returned.
An inventory sheet will be available, upon request, to our customers. Please check the garments and bag for personal items. Once you have returned your rental, King Tux Rentals cannot be responsible for items believed to have been left in the bag.
Order Change Fees/Rush Fees
Any order changed within three weeks of the event will be charged $20 per change. There is a rush fee of $20 per order when an order is placed less than a week from the pick-up date. This rush fee will be waived if we have all of the garments in the store and available for rental.
The customer is responsible for any damage, besides routine cleaning, that is done to any of the rental garments. Damage includes tears, stains, burn holes, etc. It is the responsibility of the individual renting the garment to examine it completely, since it is presumed to be free of damage if it is picked up. If an item comes back damaged or if any item is not returned, then the customer agrees to pay the replacement cost of the item.
Damaged/not returned item fees are:
Coat - $300
Pants - $80
Vest - $50
Shoes - $60
Shirt - $30
Tie - $25
Bag - $20
Links - $10
Liability transfers to the customer upon pick up of the merchandise and continues until the merchandise is returned to King Tux Rentals.
Customers should fully inspect and inventory garments for accuracy of fit and for completion. Once a customer takes delivery of the garments, he/she is responsible for them until they are returned. Our total liability for any issue related to the rental is limited to the total rental price of the garment. King Tux Rental cannot be held responsible for any matters that arise as a result of renting our tuxedos or suits.
Please note: Charge cards are used as security to pay for late returns and for damaged items. These fees are automatically assessed if rentals are returned late and/or damaged.
